John W. Churchill, Sr. passed way December 22, 2019 in his home in Grass Valley, CA surrounded by his family. He was 67.
John was born November 14, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harold and Dorothy Churchill. He was a Navy Veteran and worked for Teichert Readymix for 17 years before retirement.
He loved to play poker and ride his Chopper. He loved cruising in his Impala. He loved to travel to Mexico. He was a fan of Joe Bonamassa.
Nothing was more important to “Church” than his children and grandchildren. “Family was everything”. He was a man of few words, but deep meaning behind each one. Anyone who knew Church new that rules did not apply to him. He made his own up as he went. He truly lived in his own little world. His bark was always worse than his bite. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his sons John (Jessica) of Bangor, CA; Jason (Kristy) of Chesapeake, VA, four grandsons, and his sisters Beverly Sniegowski of Wallingford, CT and Mackie (Bobby) Nitchke of Mooresville, NC.
He’s preceded in death by his parents Harold and Dorothy and his brother-in-law Bernie Snigoweski.
