Marjorie was born on June 29, 1938 in Big Bend, CA to Lee and Maude Cantrell. She married Frank A. “Buster” Hood on February 7, 1954. They had three boys; Marlon, Terry and Randy. Frank passed away in 1974 and Marjorie started working at the Grass Valley Group soon after. She retired after 25 years with the Group.
She always believed if you come to the house you become family. She was a friend, a grandmother, a mother, and a father to us and everyone she knew. She loved camping, gardening, and working in her yard.
She was a mother that was put into the job of being both parents to three teenage boys and still worked full time. She was dearly loved by family and all of her many friends. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by her sons Marlon F. Hood, Terry L. Hood, Randy H. Hood and granddaughter Hayley C. Hood. Marlon and Terry both live in Grass Valley, while Randy, his wife Terry, and Hayley live in Vacaville.
She preceded in death by her parents Lee and Maude, eleven siblings and her husband Frank A. Hood.
