Joyce Lorraine (Evans) Young, past peacefully December 30, 2022, at the age of 87. She was born on March 9th, 1935, in Globe, Arizona, to Robert and Geraldine Evans.
Joyce attended Nevada Union High School, Class of 1953, the first class to graduate under that name. She married Ernest O. Young, on May 13, 1956. They were married 29 years at the time of Ernest’s passing in 1985. Joyce and Ernest had two children, Robin Ann and Eric Scott.
Joyce had many interests including, traveling, gardening, cooking and reading her extensive biblical library. She always cherished the time with her extended church families. She called Oregon and Missouri home for many years but spent her last few years back in Nevada County. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by Lester

A private family service will be held at a later date.
