Wendy Raye Atwood passed away at home on Friday, January 10, 2023. She was 63.
Services were held Monday, January 30, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nevada City.
Wendy Raye Atwood was born on March 15, 1959, in Utah to Ray and Alta Griffin. She was a photographer and artist. Her true life’s worth was raising 9 children and tending to God’s earth. She had a passion for arts and crafts. She enjoyed collecting sticks and stones in the forest and using them to make dreamcatchers, necklaces, and other treasures. A true lover of mother earth and all it’s creatures. She spent her life caring for animals and admiring flowers and trees.
She will be missed by all.
Wendy is survived by her 3 sons, 3 daughters, 4 step-daughters, 8 grandbabies, 1 sister, 2 brothers and 21 beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Alta Griffin; brother David Griffin; and sister Pat Elmer.
