Travis Ray Bashor passed away on February 18, 2023, at home. He was 26 years old.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 11:00 AM at Hooper and Weaver Chapel, Nevada City. There will be a reception to follow at Margarita’s Restaurant in Grass Valley.

Travis was born on January 23, 1997, in Loveland, Colorado. He graduated from Nevada Union Tech in Grass Valley, California in 2015. After high school, he attended Universal Technical Institute (UTI) learning Auto Mechanics. Travis enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and playing the guitar. He loved animals of all kinds, especially his dogs. He loved American muscle cars, being a mechanic and helping people whose cars needed repairs.

Travis was a gentle soul who didn’t take things too seriously. He loved to smile and laugh, was always looking out for his friends, and stuck true to his character. He was never one to put people down or judge them, and was always down to Earth. There wasn’t a bad bone in his body – he would give you the world and want nothing in return.

Travis is survived by his parents, Dennis and Kristi Bashor; his Uncle Ralph Sutton and Aunt Gloria Sutton; stepbrother Gary Paul Graf; stepsisters Cheri Castro and Kim Cunningham; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bruce and Cora Sophia Bashor; maternal grandparents Ralph and Alma (Margie) Sutton; and his aunts Coral Ann Banner and Kimberly Ann Sutton.

Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, Sammie’s Friends, Hospice of the Foothills or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
