Linden G. Garner passed away on April 1, 2023 peacefully in his home. He was 91.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The community is welcome.

Lin was born on October 4, 1931 in Idaho Falls, ID. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard aircraft carriers during the Korean War. He married Betty Ellyn on December 30, 1950 in Oklahoma. They settled and raised their family in Southern California. Lin worked in the Aerospace Industry until he retired and relocated to Nevada County in 1979.

He enjoyed a second career working for Suburban Propane as a technical trainer. Lin and Betty shared a rich life together until her passing after 52 years of marriage. After several years, he found love again and married Carol Slattery and they enjoyed traveling the world until her passing in 2019.

Lin was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping with family and friends. He was very involved in his church and charities.
Lin had an infectious smile! Words often used to describe him were devoted, loyal, loving and self-less. He was a role model and example to all who were blessed to know him. He will be greatly missed, yet we know we will see him again.

Lin is survived by son Craig (Marian) Garner, daughter Jan (Bob) MacDonald, daughter Ginny (Hal) Kurtzman, and daughter Terry (David) Farnham. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family from his second marriage.
