Dale Roger Mantei passed away on July 31, 2023 at home surrounded by family after a courageous fight against cancer. He was 60 years old.
Dale was born on December 12, 1962 in Lompoc, CA to Laura and Deward Mantei.
He had many hobbies that he loved to share with his family which included scuba diving, gold mining, fishing, hunting, shooting guns, wood working and reading. He was an avid blood donor and was proud to have donated over 10 gallons during his lifetime. He was joyful and was always there to lend a listening ear or advice. Dale was a great friend, dad and grandpa.
He is survived by his daughters Kristin Mohr and Jessica Mantei, mother Laura Mantei, brother David Mantei, grandchildren Cade and Jace Mohr and his dog Reagan.
Dale is preceded in death by his father Deward and brothers Patrick Howe and Greg Mantei.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday August 8th at 3:00 pm at Hopper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
