Clifford Donald (Don) Curry passed away on July 26, 2023, in Grass Valley at the age of 97.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Grass Valley Masonic Lodge located at 126 South Auburn Street at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023. There will be a potluck to follow, so in lieu of flowers, please bring your favorite dish.
Don was born on October 18, 1925, in Los Angeles, and grew up in Glendora, California. He enlisted in the Navy at just 17 years old. After his service, he went to Cal Poly and graduated with a degree in Animal Husbandry and Forestry. He spent his entire career as a consultant in the Forestry Industry. Don married Dorene Quam in 1969, and they raised their eight children in Chester and Nevada City. They moved to Rough and Ready in 2014.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Dorene, and their son, Mick Curry. He is survived by his seven children and an extensive family.
