Josephine Andersen passed away on October 9, 2023 at her home in Grass Valley. She was 75.

A visitation will be held at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 26th. There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church on Friday, October 27th at 10:00 a.m.

Josie was born on June 5, 1948 in Rockford, IL to Vincent and Josephine Licari. She came to California as a small child. In June 1970, she married Robert and together they had two daughters Pamela and Gina. After Robert retired, the family moved to Grass Valley in 1993. Josie enjoyed retirement life in her Alta Sierra home.

Josie enjoyed reading, crocheting, crafts and spending time with friends and family. When she came to Grass Valley, she began making porcelain dolls and won several ribbons at the Nevada County Fair. She was also an active member of St. Patrick Church in Grass Valley.
