Ardith Stelter passed away on October 23, 2023, at Crystal Ridge Care Center, where she had lived for the last few years. She was 94 years old.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Her remains will be interred at Fair Oaks Cemetery, Fair Oaks, California.
Ardith was born on the 2nd day of July, 1929, in Blue Island, Illinois. After graduating from Blue Island High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Lyle Stelter. After Lyle’s military service they lived in Phoenix, Arizona for many years, before moving to South Carolina where they lived out Lyle’s dream of Nascar racing. After Lyle’s passing, she moved to Grass Valley, California, to help care for her mother.
Ardith was deeply loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, her father Arthur and her mother Minnie, her sisters Joann, Loydine, Georgette and Diane, and her brother Ronald.
Ardith is survived by her sister, Donna Moore of Cameron Park, California, and her brother, David Steinhart of Roseville, California, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks to the Crystal Ridge staff for all the wonderful care provided to our sister. A special thank you to the Bristol Hospice team that helped so much in the final months of Ardith’s life.
