Gordon David Roberts

February 21, 1955 to October 26, 2023

Gordon David Roberts, 68, of Grass Valley, CA, passed away on October 26, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Gordon, known to his loved ones as Dave was born on February 21, 1955, in Culver City, CA to David and Ionah Roberts. Growing up Dave enjoyed playing football, baseball, and the drums but his interests changed when he met the love of his life, Julie. Dave and Julie met in 1979 and married in 1981 and shortly after they moved to Grass Valley, CA where they settled down and raised their three children. Dave enjoyed camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, classic cars, woodworking, attending his kids’ sporting events and his dogs, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Dave was a man of all trades throughout his life, he could build and fix anything. He worked in construction for several years, owned and operated a successful janitorial business, and worked as a custodian in the Grass Valley School District until he retired in 2011.

Dave was survived by his wife of 43 years, Julie Roberts, his three children Jason Roberts, Jessica (Brad) Rist, and Matthew Roberts, and his three granddaughters Mackenzie, Rylee, and Serena. He is also survived by his two sisters Carol Treadway and Barbara Allen, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Ionah Roberts.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later time.
