We lost our dear sister Arlene Deal this morning, November 5, 2023. She was 84 years old.

As per her wishes, there will be no service. A Mass will be set at a later date.

Arlene was born in Nevada City on February 6, 1939. She was the first born of four girls. She passed in the house her father built for her mother and three sisters. It was the same house they grew up in.

In her teens, Arlene would help her father and mother wrap meat at her dad’s meat processing plant “Hunnicutt’s Meat”. She was an avid reader. I guess you could say that was her hobby. She would also help her mom in the yard.

She later married, moved to Sacramento, and raised three children. She was a stay-at-home mom.

After her father passed, Arlene moved back home to be with her mother. She worked at Spring Hill Manor for four years.

Arlene was a woman of few words. She was kind, funny in her own way, and never complained. She just lived her life quietly, the same way she passed.

She was preceded in death by her father Clyde Hunnicutt, mother Erma Santinelli-Hunnicutt, and her three children Tony, Tracy and Laura.

She is survived by her sisters Gloria Day, Darla Kidwell, Barbara (brother-in-law) David Gallino, and grandchildren Melissa, Anthony, Monica, Dawn-Marie and Jason.

We will miss her quietness and gentle nature, but know she is with the Lord.

Love You More, Sis.
