Herbert J Guidry Jr, age 99 years 364 days, of Carmichael, CA passed away on November 30, 2023. Born to Herbert J Guidry Sr and Valrie Mayer Guidry of Vermilion Parish, LA in 1923, Herbert enlisted as a naval machinist in WWII and Korea. He married the love of his life, Barbara Guidry, in 1977. They lived in San Mateo, Nevada City (Cascade Shores) and San Diego, CA, where they enjoyed the company of their family and many friends.

He is predeceased by his wife Barbara Guidry, daughter Sandra Mann, and son Herbert Guidry III. He is survived by his son Michael Guidry, stepsons Charlie Beeson and Craig Beeson, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. His gleam in his eye, kindness and generosity will be missed by everyone he met.

There will be a Full Military Honor burial on Monday, January 22nd 11:00am PST, at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery, 459 Hollow Way in Nevada City, CA 95959.
