November 5, 1947 – April 26, 2024
Debby, age 76, died at UCSF Medical Center from acute medical illnesses. She was born at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco, the daughter of Bertram O. Diamond and Doris C. Dymott. After six years of living in California, she moved to the New York City area with her parents. Upon receiving her nursing degree, Debby worked as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts, Texas, Colorado, and California. Most of her RN career was in hospital emergency rooms, then changing to oncology a few years before her retirement.
In 1966, Debby met her husband Ralph in college “chemistry” class and they were married June 2, 1968 following graduations. After Ralph returned home from Vietnam in 1971, they lived in Santa Barbara for almost 40 years, where they raised two sons.
Debby’s interests included designing, quilting, sewing, cooking, reading, and music. Her warm smile, sense of humor, creative talents, and caring nature and unconditional love will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and patients.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Ralph Remick, her sons, Cory Remick and Kurt Remick, and three grandchildren, Yonatan Remick, Adam Remick, Hannah Remick, and an older brother Michael Diamond. Her younger brother, Alan Diamond, preceded her in 2023.
A Service will be held to remember and honor Deborah’s Life Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2 pm at the Nevada County Jewish Community Center, 506 Walsh Street, Grass Valley
