July 6, 1941 – Nov. 29, 2023
It is with profound sadness that I am writing my husband, Peter Krusi’s obituary. Pete died at our home Nov. 29, 2023, from severe COPD and Aorta Stenosis. He suffered badly for the last two years of his life. I was by his side as were my daughters, Marie and Katie.
Pete was born July 6, 1941, in Alameda, CA to Barbara and Herman Krusi. He grew up in Montclair and Piedmont, graduating from Piedmont High and continuing his education at Oakland City College and the University of California Berkeley. Pete went to work for P.G.& E. in Richmond in 1965, in the Electrical Overhead Line Dept., a career he loved as a lineman and foreman and continued for 57 years working from just about every P.G.& E. yard in California, retiring in 2022.
Pete had endless energy and built our two-story brick home after work every day.
We traveled the world and spent as much time as possible at our second home, Casa Krusi in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Pete loved deep sea fishing in the Caribbean Ocean in Playa every spring catching Dorado one of his favorite fish. He also enjoyed fishing at Pyramid Lake in Nevada with fellow P.G. & E. friends.
Pete loved life, family and friends, he was a generous caring soul and I miss him terribly.
He was sadly predeceased by our son, Peter Jr.
He is survived by his his wife, Louise; daughters Marie Krusi Fitting, and Katie Krusi Sguazzin; grandsons Justin Krusi, Nick (Alyssa) Fitting, Mike (Stephanie) Fitting, and Jack Sguazzin; and granddaughter, Elle Sguazzin.
Please join us for a Celebration of Pete’s Life at our home, 12577 Butterfly Drive in Nevada City, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 2:30 p.m.
