Cathrine Eva Smith was born on November 29th, 1952 in Grass Valley, to Lila (Pat) and Steve Novack.
She was the 3rd of 4 girls and silly enough every picture of them growing up had them lined up in birth order.
Cathy went to Grass Valley schools and graduated from Nevada Union Highschool in 1970
In 1972 Cathy welcomed her First Child, named Harley. In 1978 She welcomed her Daughter Sadie and in 1980 her step daughter Becky entered their family.
Cathy was a free spirit an Loved to travel. She moved to Alaska, South Dakota and Oregon but ended up back in California which was her home and always ended up living on a dirt road she would joke. She loved being out in the country.
Cathy had the most wonderful Green Thumb, she could grow anything! Her Gorgeous Garden proved that and she was so proud of it. She was also the most Crafty woman, she could make the cutest things out of anything. Anyone that went to her house were amazed at her creativity.
Cathy’s laugh and Beautiful smile will never be forgotten, her huge whistle that could be heard for miles will be missed, she could get anyone’s attention with it! Her Kindness, Caring Heart and Big strong hugs will be missed the most. She loved completely and was loved completely.
Cathy is Survived by her Son Harley, her Daughter Sadie and Husband Cory, Step Daughter Becky, her 3 Sisters Margie Novack, Patsy Reiswig and Stephanie Novack. Grammy to Billy and Girlfriend Uriah, Thomas, Brandon, Damien, Sarah, Shane, Hazel, Great Grandson Justin, and many Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
Cathy was also a Devoted Member of the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation.
A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday at Noon at the Sycamore Ranch Campground in Browns Valley. We will be Floating Flower Petals down the Creek in Her Honor and their will be a Potluck lunch after.
