August 6, 1933 – July 1, 2024

Patricia Gill (née Elder) passed away in her sleep at Sierra Nevada Hospital on July 1, 2024, of natural causes at the age of 90. Her husband of 65 years, Phillip Clay Gill, was by her side.

Born August 6, 1933, in Red Bluff, CA, Patricia spent most of her early life in Santa Rosa, CA. It was during her travels in Europe in 1958 that she met Phillip in Seville, Spain. They were later married in Carson City, Nevada in August of 1959. Accompanying her husband, who was a foreign service officer of the Department of State, Patricia lived in Costa Rica, Philippines, Malaysia, Paraguay, Burma and Indonesia. Patricia excelled in running the household under chaotic and sometimes even dangerous conditions. She was natural at helping her husband entertain foreign dignitaries, which was an important part of her husbands job.

Patricia was a loving mother to two children, Douglas and Felicia, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her two grandsons, Reece and Sean Hall, of Denver, CO and her sister, Sharon Poma of Santa Rosa, CA.

Patricia will be laid to rest in a family plot in Denver, CO. No local services are planned.
