William E. Corwin, age 67, passed suddenly at his home in Grass Valley, California on June 13th, 2024.

“Bill” was born on April 26th, 1957, in Norwich, Connecticut. He spent most of his youth in Miami, Florida. The youngest of 4 siblings, he was always eager to tag along with the big kids. Following graduation from High School in 1975, he ventured off to follow his dreams in sunny California.

Bill attended De Anza College in Cupertino, California. Being called to a career in nursing fit Bill’s giving and kind heart. He possessed a compassion for people that he shared generously through his career as a Cardiac Nurse. He worked many years for Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL where he retired in 2022.

In 1995 while living in Walnut Creek, California Bill met Roger. And his whole life changed. Anyone who ever had the pleasure of being in the presence of their love story was awed and inspired. They shared a connection that few are blessed enough to find in this life. They enjoyed spending quality time together, music, sharing their home with friends and family, and making each other laugh. Bill loved to enjoy Roger’s cooking and confections. They loved each other beyond measure.

Although shy, Bill was an incredibly funny guy. He had a contagious laugh, and a wonderful smile. He loved his family, his brothers, and his stepsons Juaken “Guss” and Shaun. He was an amazing, fun, and loving Uncle. He and Roger adored their Grandson “Jed” who they would proudly share pictures of any chance they got!  He enjoyed sharing his love of music and his favorite places with those he loved, such as the Yuba River, Yosemite, and the California Coast. One of the things that Bill treasured most in this life was his animals. He had quite a few spoiled companions through his lifetime. Two of honorable mention are the sweet and loveable Weimaraner pair, Khloe, and Baron who Bill and Roger rescued and considered “the kids.”

Bill’s dream was to one day return to the place he called “home”, one of his great loves, California. Finally in 2022, Bill and Roger returned home to Grass Valley, California. They spent the last couple of seasons enjoying the beautiful scenery, their lovely home, new friends, and random Northern California snow days spent cuddling by a fire.

Bill was preceded in death by his spouse Roger Harper (2023), His Father Laurence W. Corwin (1980), his Mother Mozelle Corwin (1971), and his older sister Suzanne Corwin (2011).

He is survived by his older brothers Michael Corwin (Wilma) and Walter Corwin (Jackie) and nieces Kelly McElwee (James), Kari Corwin & Katie Corwin.

The Family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time.
