Terre Moon, passed away on September 17th, 2024, at the age of 70 in Bellingham, WA surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Terre was born on July 30th, 1954, in Nevada City, Ca. to Charles and Pauline Moon.
Terre was a beloved friend who valued people for who they were, not what they were. She was known for her inclusiveness and advocacy for others. She had an innate ability to make others feel special and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Terre was a true embodiment of grace and class, always bringing joy to those around her.
Some of the most cherished memories of Terre include road trips with her daughter Sharon that were filled with laughter with the spontaneous photo stops and shopping along the way. She could turn ordinary moments into lasting, fun-filled memories. Her sense of humor and love for adventure made every experience with her unforgettable.
Terre loved to travel, read, play board and card games and above all, spend time with her cherished family and friends. Her love for those close to her was evident in everything she did.
Professionally, Terre had a distinguished career. After becoming a CBSA border agent, she taught courses in Rigaud, Quebec. Many of her students fondly remember her as an outstanding instructor who not only took the time to help but also acted as a second mother to many. She later started to work in the Vancouver mail room inspecting letters and packages crossing the border. She ended her career in the Nexus Center in Blaine, WA. She was always proud to wear the uniform and be part of the Law Enforcement family.
Terre is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ackerman of Sedro Woolley, WA, her brother Art (Pat) Moon of Reno, NV, her nephew Joshua (Cindy) Moon of Reno, NV, niece Tasha Moon (Eric) of Bee Cave, TX, nephew Adam (Barbara) Moon of Virginia City, NV, Jessica Moon of Tacoma, WA, as well as numerous cousins and dear friends.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest View Cemetery, Red Dog Road, Nevada City.
