Ann Gray, born July 4, 1934, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Marysville, California, and raised in Auburn where she developed a deep love for her community and family.
A proud graduate of Placer High School, Ann furthered her education at Sierra College, where she met the love of her life, Bob Gray. They married shortly after her graduation and built a loving home together.
Ann was a devoted mother to her six children Mary Matheson, Ken Gray, Allison Gray, Bill Gray, and Sally Lobb. She was particularly heartbroken by the loss of her youngest child Sammy, who passed away at the tender age of three.
Ann loved to play bridge with friends, was long time member of several 12-step programs, attended daily mass and lectured from the altar. At age 71 she moved to Sequim, WA. Where she continued her 12-step programs, daily mass, lecture, and was active in service with Saint Vincent de Paul. Any trip to Sequim would be a trip to the Olympic Game Farm and a trip to Hurricane Ridge.
She deeply cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at 10:30, Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at St. Canice Church, 317 Washington St. Nevada City.
Directly after service a reception will be held at St. Canice Hall, 236 Reward St. Nevada City.
