Amy Martin went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2025.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the historic Colfax Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Colfax Community Center in the Conistoga Room.
Amy was born November 27, 1948 in Morganton, North Carolina, to Earl and Louise Bowman. She spent her childhood in Morganton. She attended Salem High School After graduation she moved to Pasadena, CA to attend Ambassador College.
Amy was an avid reader. She enjoyed working in the garden and loved being outdoors. Amy loved animals.
Amy wrote and spoke with eloquence and feeling and was always available to support and encourage and comfort others and to pray for them.
She brought joy and life everywhere she went. She was an excellent listener, good friend, and a devout follower of Jesus. Her love of God and Jesus Christ shone through her every action and conversation.
In addition to her husband Tom, Amy is survived by numerous loving relatives in NC with who she stayed in close contact throughout the years.
She’s preceded in death by her parents Earl and Louise Bowman, brother Richard Bowman, and brother Jack Bowman who died in infancy.
