Robert Lee “Bob” Ward, 60, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Penn Valley, California. Born on November 17, 1964, in Sacramento, California, Bob lived a life dedicated to service and family.
For 35 years, Bob worked as a paramedic with American Medical Response, providing critical care to those in need. He took immense pride in his work and found deep fulfillment in helping others during their most vulnerable moments. His career was more than just a job—it was a calling that left an enduring impact on countless lives. His legacy of compassion and service will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beyond his career, Bob had a passion for anything with an engine. He could fix just about anything and loved tinkering with cars, motorcycles, and boats. He enjoyed taking his boat out on the lake during the summer and riding motorcycles whenever he had the chance. Traveling in his RV brought him great joy, allowing him to explore numerous national parks and states alongside family and friends. He also cherished playing video games with his children and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bob was known for his very dry sense of humor. Always ready with a joke or prank, he had a way of bringing laughter to those around him. His kindness and willingness to help others made him the go-to person whenever something needed fixing or when someone needed support.
He is survived by his children Megan, Alex, Keith, and Nathaniel; their mother Stacey; two beloved grandchildren; and his siblings Don, John, Jim, Becky, and Linda. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer King Ward and Laneta Esther Ward; his brother David; his nephew Jon; his niece Sharon; and his great-nephew JR.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Penn Valley, California. Guests are invited to bring their own alcoholic beverages as they gather to honor Bob’s memory. You can find more information on his Facebook page and rsvp to the event.
