Sandra (Sandy) Jane Tripp, age 78, of Grass Valley, CA went to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Sandy was a Nevada Country resident for over six decades, an active church member, and a loving mother and grandmother.

Sandy was born October 21, 1946 to her parents William and Carol Bowers in Cincinnati Ohio. After moving frequently in her younger years, she finally settled in Grass Valley in the early 1960s where she went on to meet her husband, David Tripp, while working as a car hop. Sandy married David in December 1964 and welcomed her son, Todd, in 1970.

Sandy was a devoted mother and grandmother who thrived off of quality time with family and sharing her faith with others. She was a devoted member of multiple churches throughout the years and enjoyed traveling with her husband, attending car shows with family, and helping to lead the “Tripp Gospel Hour” at Wolf Creek Care Center (where she later became a resident after her Alzheimer’s diagnosis).

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, David Tripp. She is survived by her son Todd Tripp, daughter-in-law Bobbi Tripp, three granddaughters Brittney Tripp, Rachel Norvell (Tripp), and Taylor Tripp, along with three great-grandchildren.

Sandy will be remembered as a loving woman with a bright smile and loving spirit who put other’s needs before her own and left the world a better place because she lived. Her memory will be carried on by all who knew her and through the family members she left behind.

A service will be held in memory of Sandy at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church on McCourtney Road at 2 pm on April 4, 2025. Anyone who knew and loved Sandy is welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
