Wallace “Wally” Leroy Sullada passed away on January 14, 2023, at Brunswick Village in Grass Valley. He was 86. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday January 28th at the Kingdom Hall in Colfax.

Wally was an electrician by trade; however, he was very skilled in working with tile and construction. Eventually he went on to build two homes top to bottom with his own hands. Wally loved to garden. He enjoyed sharing homegrown fruits and vegetables from his garden, orchard, and vineyard with friends, family, and neighbors.

Wally’s brother Ron Sullada passed 22 years ago and sister Joyce Hagman in September 2021. His surviving brothers Delwin and Sheldon, along with sisters Lauren and Ruth have many fond memories of Wally’s playful nature, in his earlier years. His nieces and nephews often referred to Wally as their favorite uncle.

Wally is survived by his daughters Jennifer Lynn Simpson and her husband Scott, Rachel Ann Moger and her husband Kenneth; and his grandchildren Kayla, Desiree, Eliana, Katelyn, Ashton, and great-grandchild, Carter.

Wally was predeceased by his father, James (Jim) Sullada whom was born in Croatia in 1904 – his family is linked to the Austrian Empire. At age 26 Jim married Ruby, Wally’s mother whom was from Indiana, in 1930 when she was 16.
