Colleen Krebs passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023, at Crystal Ridge Care Center in Grass Valley, CA at the age of 92.
A Mass will be conducted at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 1 p.m. There will be a rosary before the Mass at 12:30 p.m. for those who wish to attend.
Colleen Marionette was born on Jan. 8, 1931, in Gresham, OR, to Gladys and Ferdinand Lampert. She married Albert Krebs on June 3, 1948. They had seven children together before divorcing in 1976. Colleen had many jobs while trying to raise her children alone. She was a waitress, did bookkeeping, and later was a Certified Nurses Assistant. Colleen loved gardening, and to play the guitar. She also loved working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles. One of her favorite things to do was crafts, which included making cards for all occasions and making miniature wooden villages. She volunteered at Living Well Medical Clinic helping young pregnant women find a way to avoid abortion. Colleen had a very close relationship with God. She prayed her rosary daily and never waivered in her faith. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grass Valley, CA.
Colleen is survived by her two sisters, Carol and Donna both of OR.; three sons, Eric (Mary) Krebs, Doug (June) Krebs, and Benjamin Krebs; two daughters, Rebecca (Ryan) Bryant, and Lori (David) Pieper; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Ferdinand Lampert; sons, Michael and Richard Krebs; and siblings, June, Barbara, Lorraine, and Billy.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
