1953 – 2024

Kathleen Marie Stradinger, aged 71, of Grass Valley, CA, passed away on August 7, 2024. After a five-month battle with angiosarcoma, Kathleen peacefully joined the Lord while surrounded by family at her childhood home.

Kathleen was a devoted and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her various holiday traditions, loving acts of service, and creative gift giving will be deeply missed. She enjoyed cooking for a full house of family, singing in the Chorus of Music in the Mountains, and designing jewelry as well as other handmade crafts.

Kathleen is survived by Neil Stradinger, her husband of 21 years; son Scott Hoskin and wife Katja, sons Ryan Hoskin and Wesley Hoskin; grandsons Korey and Noah; and sisters, Geri Jensen Scott and Brenda Lee Jensen. She is preceded in death by her parents, A. Kenneth and Marian Jensen, and beloved brother, Kenneth “Kenny” Jensen.

A private gathering will be held to honor and celebrate Kathleen’s life later this year.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sammie’s Friends Animal Shelter or Music in the Mountains.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all who provided care and compassion to Kathleen over the past months, including the entire staff at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and Wolf Creek Care Center; Lynn, Jillian and the caregiving team at AMAH’s Heart, Hospice of the Foothills, and Dave Bollen of Twin Cities Church.

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.

…Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!”
Psalm 8:3-5, 9
