January 17, 1932 – August 10, 2024

Our beloved father Robert Clyde Stillwaugh, known affectionately as Bob, passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 92.

Our Dad was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 17, 1932, to Muriel and Clyde Stillwaugh. He grew up in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from Hamilton High School, class of 1950. Bob then went on to pursue his passion for radio and television by earning an engineering degree. Our Dad joined the Army under “A” BATTERY 509th Armored Field Artillery Battalion and served from November 1954 to November 1956.

Bob worked in radio and television in Ohio before moving his family to Grass Valley in 1973 where he worked at Grass Valley Group which enabled him to travel all over the world. He loved Europe, Switzerland, and had interesting stories about going to Cuba and China as well as his many trips to New York City. Bob retired from Grass Valley Group then went on to use his engineering expertise to start his own consulting and broadcast products business with his two business partners.

Our father’s memory and sense of humor will be forever held in the hearts of his surviving family; sister Barbara Lee, children Gail Maxson, Beth Waybright and Steven Stillwaugh, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as his many friends.

At his request, no services are planned. He and his wife Kay’s ashes will be spread together over the waters of Hawaii where they loved going every year to their condominium on the ocean.
