Gloria Sue Bulick (Goodson) passed away on January 31,2025 in Grass Valley, California. She was 75 years old.
Gloria was born August 7, 1949 in Martinez, CA to Jeff Thomas Goodson and Alberta Goodson (Slayter). She was a graduate of Pacifica High School in 1967 located in West Pittsburg, CA. After one week of dating Harry Kenneth Bulick Jr, they eloped to Carson City Nevada with family to wed. They resided in Contra Costa County until 1974 when they moved to Auburn, CA. Later to Nevada City, CA in 1985 where they still reside. She was a stay-at-home mother until 1983 when she began working as a Bank Teller at Sacramento Savings in Grass Valley, CA.
Gloria loved Jesus, going to church and the many women friends she made at her bible studies. She enjoyed watching football, her bowling league, playing canasta, and taking care of her children then her grandchildren. She was a very generous person who loved and nurtured our family and even our friends growing up. She was always selflessly there to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Gloria will be remembered for her sweet smile. Harry states that she glowed when he first met her. He was crazy about his wife to the end. Her father’s nickname for her was Glowworm. Gloria was a breast cancer survivor who was in remission for 20 years prior to her passing.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Harry Kenneth Bulick Jr, daughter Suzanne Bulick, son Ken Bulick and wife Lynette Bulick (Reiswig), grandchildren Shaine Bulick, Reid Carroll, Madelyn Bulick, Baylee Bulick, Cory Bulick and Jordan Ferry. She is survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents JT and Alberta Goodson (Slayter). Gloria was the last of 5 siblings who had all passed before her, Donald Goodson, Tom Goodson, Leonard Goodson, Patsy Reece (Goodson) and her nephew Tod Reece and great Niece Reanna Silveira.
A Celebration of Life will occur on March 29, 2025 2pm at the Clyde Community Center in Concord, CA.
