More and more families today are selecting cremation as part of an overall plan to commemorate a loved one. There is a difference between offering cremation and offering on-site cremation. As the only local mortuary with an on-site crematory, Hooper & Weaver provides assurance that your loved one will remain in the compassionate care of our professional team throughout the entire process. Our crematory is licensed by the state of California and our team is certified to perform cremation services according to the highest code of ethics and standards.

Funeral Services with Cremation
Families may honor their loved one by arranging for visitation and memorial services followed by cremation. Traditional embalming and casketing allow family and friends to pay their respects, with the casket open or closed, in the Hooper & Weaver Mortuary chapel or church of their choice. Conventional hardwood or specialized cremation caskets allow for cremation to seamlessly follow these comforting events.
Direct Cremation
When embalming and funeral services are not desired, direct cremation provides families an economical alternative that allows for memorial celebrations to follow at a later time.

Disposition Options
Families may take possession of cremated remains or Hooper & Weaver can ensure they are delivered to a cemetery or other location. Families may choose from a range of commemorative options, including:
- Storage and display at home
- Burial in a cemetery ground space, individually or with previously interred family members
- Placement in an above-ground cemetery niche
- Placement in a cemetery scattering garden
- Scattering at sea, by Hooper & Weaver outside services or by the family
- Scattering on private property, by ownership or permission of the owner
- Scattering by plane over the sea, mountains or other locations as permitted by law by Hooper & Weaver outside services or by the family
